Rosely Portrait Shoot

While talking to a my friend and fellow photographer the other day, we mused about how one in a while, you're lucky enough to shoot a subject who you can photograph from pretty much any angle, and every shot comes out perfect. This would most certainly apply to Rosely. I know this sounds a bit cliché, but she really did make my job easy.

While studio lighting gives you amazing control -- there really is nothing that matches the warmth and life of sunlight. These were taken outdoors, just before the coldest weather I have ever experienced in Miami made its way through.

You can see the rest of the photos I took on this glorious day, here.

Vizcaya Gardens in Coral Gables

Miami isn't a city that's full of a lot of old, historic buildings. Here, old is a relative term. Walk down almost any major city in Europe, and you'll undoubtedly encounter streets flanked with buildings that are at a century or two old. Come stateside, and a century old building is roped off and and turned into a tourist attraction. Case in point: The Vizcaya castle in Coral Gables.

If you live in South Florida, and haven't had the chance to visit this amazing castle: you owe it to yourself to go. I did just that this past weekend and had the opportunity to add to my photography portfolio.
