Julie and Ben | Homestead Wedding on an Avocado Farm

I know what you're thinking. Avocado farm? Stay with me on this one - it'll be worthwhile, promise. This has got to be one of the most well put together weddings I have been commissioned to photograph.

The Venue - yes it's an avocado farm, with real avocado trees that are actually harvested and sold to local restaurants and the like. The farm has been owned by generations of some the most hospitable and gracious Cuban American family. The front yard is home to what must be over a hundred avocado trees and a hand built chapel compete with stained glass and a gorgeous wood entryway.

This part of Homestead is surrounded by ranches and farmland rich with nurseries with fresh fruit, plants and abundant wildlife (including peacocks!). A few blocks down and you'll find Amish communities that own some of the best bakeries you've ever been to - complete with fresh produce and baked goods (not to mention the amazing cinnamon rolls).

Julie is an absolute delight to work with. She demands nothing less than perfection, and knows how to go about getting it. I love having high expectations - it just drives me to deliver.
