Sonia

Staring down the barrel of a lens is an art. It truly is. When you're looking into someone's eyes, your expression speaks to your audience without you having to say a word. To be able to look at into a camera and convey a thought or expression takes some real practice and imagination.

As you'll see in the photos to come, after Sonia warmed up to the camera, you get the feeling she's trying to tell you something.

Pay close attention to the kaam (or intricate design patterns and details) on this gharara (traditional Pakistani or Indian wedding dress). Hand made clothing is a rarity these days, which makes it all the more reason to appreciate the handiwork.

Sit back, grab a cup of tea and allow me take you through an afternoon of photographs.
